Nice, clean top view. Good focus.
P.S. My big lens is now in the shop with a bad case of the blurries.

No hurry. Airshow season is over and I won't be needing it anytime soon.
Hopefully when I do use it again it'll give me results comparable to yours.

I don't think I actually thanked you for your feedback on my Mustang sharpening experiment. It's much appreciated.

That's good to hear, and I'm sure your results will far outstrip mine :)

That's no problem, in the same vain I did mean to say cheers for the feedback on the 747 shot, funnily other than cropping it i haven't post processed it at all so it seems my camera over did the shadows, I had been trying to work out what in the picture made it look unnatural and as soon as you said that it ust clicked.

Ran across the effect myself by accident. I had noticed that some of AirshowDaves's subjects seemed to be illuminated from below, and I assumed it was a reflection of some bright area on the ground.
It was only when I was over-zealous with the "shadows" slider in P.S. that I understood what was happening.
Since then I've tried to find a setting that looks natural without over-doing it.

I Imagin its one of those really fustrating processes that takes quite a while to perfect.

Nice pic! Pity that both Vampires couldn't fly on the Saturday but was still glad to see one at least fly.
