Pardon my ignorance, what makes it special? Is it just a rare visitor? Or not many left flying? I'm far from knowledgeable regarding airliners and civil aircraft and just curious.

It's the Dutch governments F70 I believe :)

It was also a bit special for me as it was the first gov/mill jet I have seen fly out of luton.

Out of interest what location do you use when shooting at Luton. Although I'm not overly into airliners and civil types I often feel that I should at least give shooting a few a go just to have some airliners in my gallery. Living in Hemel Hempstead, Luton is local to me too so I was just wondering if it is easy to get shots there. Maybe something to do in the future if I am a loose end to what to do.

I tend to use crash gate 5 its good spot and where I took this shot from. There is space to park although it dose get a bit crowded as local family's come up to watch the planes. You will need some steps to see through the fence. From a photography point the sun is to your left and behind you from morning to early afternoon when it lines up with the runway. there is normally something flying but when it gets quiet it can be a little dull.
